A fire blanket quickly smothers fires in textiles, beds, and other horizontal surfaces. The fire blanket also extinguishes fires on hobs and in pots and pans.
The casing is mounted on the wall; in the event of a fire, simply pull the black straps to release the blanket.
Fire blankets are suitable for extinguishing small fires in, for example, clothing and furniture, as well as for smothering fires in cookware, beds, or on other horizontal surfaces.
The most common and suitable material for fire blankets is fiberglass. It withstands temperatures up to 500 °C, making it ideal for use in kitchens to, for example, smother oil fires.
The fire blanket is packed in a nylon fabric case sealed with a Velcro strap at the bottom. To use, pull the black straps to release
the blanket.
