Description
Eye Wash Spray 250 ml is a larger and longer-lasting eye wash spray for rapid treatment of eye injuries caused by dirt, dust, chemicals or corrosive substances. The spray contains 250 ml of buffered 0.9% sodium chloride solution and produces a fine mist with up to 15 minutes of effective rinsing time.
For chemical eye injuries, it is crucial to begin rinsing immediately, preferably within seconds. Acid burns generally require around 5 minutes of rinsing, while alkaline burns require at least 20–30 minutes. In severe cases, rinsing should continue during transport to an eye specialist.
The eye wash spray is particularly suitable for workplaces, industrial environments, laboratories, workshops and other locations where there is a risk of eye injuries. For convenient mounting and quick access, a separate 52 mm triple holder, art. no. 2060, is available for the 250 ml bottles.
Once the spray has been opened and the seal broken, it should no longer be used for severe chemical injuries because the full rinsing time can no longer be guaranteed. An opened bottle is instead suitable for wound cleansing, cooling burns or rinsing dirt and dust from the eye.
